All of us have at one time or another have listened to the famous some ‘Don’t Worry, Be Happy’ by Bobby McFerrin. It’s a pretty catchy tune. It conveys the message of being happy regardless of your situation or current problems. It has just one simple message to improve our lives. We need to stop worrying about things in life that are out of our control.
Living a resilient and optimistic life will improve our health and mindset. If you truly are happy then you can easily protect yourself from everyday stressful situations. Unfortunately, stress is a major issue because it’s been linked to heart attacks, strokes, and even death!
The best mantra I’ve ever heard is –
‘The only thing in life that will always remain the same is change’, and in our life, we have the power to make the necessary changes if we want to. Even if we find ourselves in an unbearable situation we can always find solace in the knowledge that it too would change.
Being able to connect with other people is essential to happiness. Everyone is different, you need to be able to accept people for who or what they are. We should try our best to avoid unnecessary disagreements and arguments. As well as try to dismiss any kind of jealousy or anger towards people. Whenever an argument seems like it is unavoidable you definitely should make an effort to understand the situation. try viewing it from the other person point of view and you might be able to change your mind pretty easily.
Happiness can be found in everyone if you look hard enough. If you’re able to create a good amount of happiness you can make your life much easier and have fun just living in and going with the flow.
Finding true happiness is somewhat easy, in fact, all you have to do is make the mental choice to become a happy person. Abraham Lincoln once remarked that most of the time people are able to choose how happy or stressed. How relaxed or troubled, how bright or dull their outlook to be is up to them. The choice is simple, all you have to do is convince your brain to be happy.
Quite honestly there are many ways in which you can train your brain to find true happiness.
Maybe you should start a gratitude journal taking into account all the small things that happen every day. Keep an eye out for things that have had a positive impact on your life. There are so many things in life we are able to be thankful for we often overlook. For example, making it home safely after a long trip, having food available when you’re hungry, etc.
Unfortunately, the news we consume can be stressful towards our daily outlook on life. We definitely should attempt to consume less of it each day. Sometimes the daily stress most of us encounter during our lifetime can be solved by seeking out a spiritual belief. Taking part in a religious organization with its praise and worship along with his teaching can develop a much needed inner peace.
You should also make an attempt to properly manage your time. Our time on this earth is limited and too important to allow it to go to waste. We should create rules and lists to help us with time management and scheduling important events in our life. Also, use these list s for setting goals and planning for the future. This way we have a solid outlook on our lives that can help us properly prepare for our future.
Have you ever heard the saying that laughter is the best medicine? You should try to seek out something that makes you happy and laugh each and every day. I personally like to watch funny cat videos on YouTube.
Your happiness will begin to grow
Don’t forget to let others know just how important they are in your life. They probably will reciprocate the same feeling which will contribute to your self-esteem. Also, don’t waste time being angry with others because it’s irrelevant in the long run. Let your anger flow off of you like water on a duck’s back.
Working hard towards meeting your goals will provide great satisfaction in the long run. It will give you a great feeling of accomplishment whenever you finish a task that you have written down on your checklist. Eventually reaching some of your life goals is a necessity in order to give you a sense of value in life and keep you on the path of completing the rest of your goals.
Try to learn something new each and every day and approach it with a joyful heart. Learning causes us to expand our mind and realize that we can accomplish far more than we originally thought was possible.
You should also take the time to develop your body physically. Run, jog, lift weights, or do any other physical activity. Your body will thank you and also release endorphins which will help you feel happier in the long run.
These are just a small amount of activities that can help increase your overall. There are four more things that you can do but I just don’t have the time to go over it right now.
Try to remember the famous quote from former President Abraham Lincoln, in which he says “Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.”
I hope you found this Thanksgiving blog post helpful in your everyday life and are able to seek out happiness for yourself regardless of whatever others might think. Have a happy Thanksgiving!
