Have you heard the news that Oprah Winfrey has amazingly lost 42 pounds since starting Weight Watchers? I personally find it miraculous and almost impossible to believe that she lost the weight since purchasing 10% of the company back in 2015. Personally, it’s almost like she had some financial motivation to make this claim and use her celebrity to push people into purchasing her product.
Oprah has a history of yo-yo dieting but she claims at this time she is keeping the weight off because of Weight Watchers and not becoming a slave to the scale. It’s amazing what you can do when you have a really good financial motive behind it.
Recently the former talk show host said:
“It was frustrating to promise myself ‘I’m going to do it today, I’m going to do it today,’ and then not stick to my plan,” she said. “So I shifted. Now, I don’t have a goal in mind. I get to a certain weight and I’m OK, and say, ‘This is where I want to be. Hang in there. I’ll get there when I get there.’ And my body will tell me when I am exactly where I need to be.”
In the coming months look for Oprah to star in a lot of commercials pushing her product and trying to make a buck off of other people’s low self-esteem about their weight. I for one know I’m fat but will never shell out the cash for something that is just a type of miracle cure because usually, the only thing that gets smaller is your wallet.
