I didn’t feel well all weekend long and last night I actually got quite a scare when my blood glucose level was nearly 400. I decided right then and there that I needed to make my health more of a priority in my life and just start doing something instead of just paying the matter lip service.
So today I went to 24 hour fitness and get a workout that really kicked my butt. I’m eating better and have actually come up with a plan to help me keep my blood sugar under control and hopefully some weight. The main things right now that I’m going to be doing is I’m going to increase my fruit and vegetable intake and try to eliminate all red meat, bread products and most processed foods from my diet.
I don’t know how much time I will be able to put in at the gym but I have already decided that I will be spending one hour a day at the gym seven days a week. I’m sure at some point during even my busiest days I have an hour somewhere even if I have to take it from the time I normally sleep. Hopefully, they open up this LA fitness they are planning within walking distance of my home soon so that I can just switch over to them and make it even easier for me to find time to work out.
I have a doctors appointment on Thursday and hopefully were able to figure out why I have these occasional super high blood glucose spikes and what we can do to prevent them in the future. I’m also hoping the doctor received the results of my tests and will be able to possibly give me something for all this pain my left leg has been in the last couple months.
I’ll keep you posted on my progress and it is not too much to ask can you please pray that I’m able to stick with this and get healthy. Thank you.
