It’s gotten to the point where you can’t turn on your television without hearing the occupy wall street protesters and liberals complaining saying “Why should they be able to make that much money?”. After all that main staple of the progressive/liberal agenda is the idea of “evil, greedy rich people holding everyone back”.
The protests are nothing but simple jealousy that have been triggered by just the right circumstances and events in the United States. Right now more than ever people can identify with the whole “He has so much and I have so little, it isn’t fair so he should have to share his wealth” attitude. This is why we have become a generation that wants everything given to them without having to earn it.
This gimme generation is constantly asking for more, give me money, give me a job, give me free money for school, give me a house etc.. And they seem to be forgetting this world’s one universal truth nothing is free! Just because you’re getting something for free like unemployment or money for school doesn’t mean it’s free somebody must always pay for it.
Right now all across Europe there is a huge financial crisis because they promised so much to everyone but they’re unable to fulfill it because there’s nobody to pay the bill. Right now because of this the whole of Europe is on the verge of financial ruin and without a miracle their entire economic system is headed for collapse.
America has always been about personal accountability, and the individual. So why are people starting to believe others are obligated to give them a job, just for the sake of employing someone? Businesses only hire when it is a benefit to them and their profits not just because people need work. This is the land of opportunity and if you’re unable to find a job maybe you should do like our forefathers and use your own ingenuity to provide for you and your family.
The so-called redistribution of wealth is simply implied justification, and it’s entirely subjective to the idea that someone must be greedy because they are successful. Entitlements need to be used as little as possible and if and when they do exist they must have limitations put on them which lead to a clear path of achieving independence once again. People should not be allowed to coast through life on government benefits. In fact that’s where America went wrong. Prior to unemployment and welfare Americans were some of the hardest working people on the planet and we’ve gotten away from that.
If America ever hopes to have any chance to be great again and be that country or forefathers dreamed about then we must stop giving free rides and put an end to this gimme generation.
